"A hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank...but the world may be a better place because I made a difference in the life of a child." --

October 9th-15th was fire prevention week at DDI. Many departments of DDI were asked to participate in making a fire truck shoe box and also sending a thank you card to our local fire departments. The memo went out and CRP staff were running as if Sirens were blaring. What started out as a DDI project amongst many different DDI departments, turned into a friendly competition between our CRP houses. Staff and students worked together in making these fire trucks and having a fire prevention message placed on it. Each one of the houses had their own flare and twist on the project. Associate Executive Director Kim Kubasek, Safety Manager Lisa Buchter and CRP Director Linda Eisman-Cadel viewed all the shoebox’s and picked the winner. Congratulations to Unit A and great job to all our other houses.
