"A hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank...but the world may be a better place because I made a difference in the life of a child." --

Sean is a young man who resides in the Children’s Residential Program. He is extremely family oriented and even when talking about basketball, will mention his family. He currently is attending one of our adult day program sites. When Sean entered the adult day program his natural athletic ability shined through. The day program asked if he would like to join their “Main Street Bulls” basket ball team and he was all for it.

In December, Sean made his debut at his first game. Sean won a lot of battles for possession under the basket and scored several baskets. He helped his team to victory. Sean allowed a pre-game interview before one of his games. He stated he was “of course excited” for his game and that he was “the best man ever”. He purchased some wrist bands to wear during the game. When asked how many baskets he was going to make he stated “3 shots”. The morning before the game, he gave some staff a glimpse of the poses he would take for the camera at the game. When we asked his sister Bridget what he plays she replied “basketball”. Bridget was also excited for Sean. DDI is behind Sean and we will be in the bleachers cheering him on.
