The Young Autism Program would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Buonaiuto family, as well as various individuals and corporations across Long Island and New York, for their generous monetary donations to Developmental Disabilities Institute’s Young Autism Program located in Ronkonkoma.  

These donations have made it possible for us to purchase iPads® for several classrooms.  As we are currently demonstrating through the DDI iPad® Series, the ability to incorporate these devices into our daily curricula serves as a resourceful avenue to augment the communication of many of our learners. With the iPad® technology and applications such as Proloquo2Go™, students are able to request and express themselves more independently.

We are now able to enhance the support we provide our students and classroom teachers and are so grateful to this family and the donors for their kindness and generosity.
