With strict guidence and supervision the new archery program at Meadow Glen offers participants a wide range of benefits.  A great advantage of the sport of archery is that it demands attention.  As participants begin to develop in this sport, they will find that their focus on other things in life outside of archery will most likely become heightened.  It's a sport that will give a boost in a number of mental-aspects in life.

Adult Residential Services, under the leadership of Chris Spikoski and Bobbi Tousell, has created a group where men and women can come together and discuss all things music. The group meets once a month in the evening and a trip to a musical event is planned out quarterly.   Everyone involved has an equal love and appreciation of music. At the first meeting, everyone brought in a cd or record of a favorite song or artist to share with the group. Group members discussed their opinions about each selection.   A recent trip to a Guitar Extravaganza at Five Towns College was a huge success. The Music Room, where the group meets, has been redecorated with murals hand painted by Roy G. Biv. Recently many various types of instruments were acquired that the group will be learning about and playing. Some of these instruments are: djembes, congas, a glockenspiel, guitar, and an electronic drum kit. Everyone in the group looks forward to the monthly meetings and building on their knowledge and love of music.
