All of our teaching practices stem from the replication of the documented research and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS).  Aligning our program with these principles requires that data are collected as evidence and support of curriculum and procedures used.

 

Family Tours

  • Tours are conducted by our Intake Specialist or Social Worker at family’s request
  • Tours are recommended to take place during a Monday through Friday during business hours (preferably 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM when the students are attending their day program)
  • Any related clinical support personnel are invited to accompany the family on the tours
  • The family is provided with the CRP Parent Handbook for informational purposes 30 days prior to admission

Assessment/Instructional Strategies

 

The focus is on providing meaningful and productive activities to help students work on their individualized goals while participating in group and singular activities in social skills, communication skills, independent living skills, self-care skills, life-safety skills, vocational opportunities, volunteer opportunities, sports, nutrition and exercise, leisure activities and community outings.

 

Each child is encouraged to be as independent as possible based on his/her abilities, from making choices about hobbies and activities to relationships and life opportunities.
