Children's Residential Program "Spring Fling"

The event included pizza, music, and the painting of 26 wooden pallets and puzzle piece picture frames.

Eighteen of the pallets will be part of an auction, and the remaining eight will be used to make vertical gardens for each of the residences. They will provide valuable learning opportunities for the children as well as add a personalized spring garden to the front or back patio of each home. The picture frames will be used for father’s day gifts from the children.

An exciting component of this project is that each residence will be competing in a decorating contest with their garden pallet. Painting materials, decorations, and choices of seeds and flowers will all be used to add individualized creative flair to each one.

The winner will be announced in June at the annual Field Day celebration.

Special thanks to our volunteers from New York Therapy Placement Services, Inc. for helping to make this year’s spring fling so successful.
