The festival celebrated the 50th anniversary of Woodstock with musical tributes by groovy bands. The event included a Kidszone, fitness classes, food vendors and local non-profits. DDI received an exclusive invite from Mr. Glenn Vickers, executive director of the YMCA of East Hampton, to set up a booth in the middle of the crowd. Children of all ages flocked to the YMCA's 30-foot rock wall and ninja obstacle course.
Wendy Elsen, job development coordinator at DDI commented, “DDI has built an incredible partnership with the YMCA's East Hampton's Executive Director Glenn Vickers. Our team was able to share information and answer questions for attendees about DDI’s expansive vocational and day programs.”
In addition to sharing information about DDI’s supports, services and programs for people with autism and other developmental disabilities, the DDI team promoted the various career opportunities at DDI.
