Members of the Children's Day Program (CDP) Art Club in Smithtown and the Adult Day Services Program collaborated to create heartwarming artwork that focused on wintry scenes for this display.
Students from CDP created artwork using acrylic paint and the pour technique, simulating a dreamy, winter-like background. Members of the Adult Day Services Program created similar winter scenes, with blue and silver spray paint using stencils to create floating snowflakes on canvases.
Inspired by discussions and photographs, each piece is an artistic representation of winter at its finest.
Thanks to all those who made this exhibit possible and all those who came out to celebrate the opening reception. Special thanks to the many talented artists of DDI for sharing their beautiful interpretations of winter.
