This May, DDI welcomed personnel from the Great Neck, Plainedge, and Mineola School Districts to take part in a District Day Information Session to learn more about our residential school program.
The visitors were presented with materials from the Children’s Day Program and the Children’s Residential Program, which included the assessment and referral process, clinical services, the residential school model, and the transition to adult placements.
The group enjoyed a tour of both the Smithtown Campus and Huntington Campus and were able to experience the learning and home environments offered by DDI.
We appreciate the ongoing support from our community school districts as these collaborations provide the opportunity for building partnerships in the education and care of children and adults with developmental challenges.
