The colorful hats and blankets were all made by DDI staff members, friends, family, and, once again, we received a contribution of hats from one of our students, superstar knitter Elisabeth. Not only is she perfecting the craft of knitting, she is ready to share her skillful talents with others.
As we continue bringing warmth and kindness to our neighbors, a Summer Knitting/Crocheting Workshop has been planned for this July, and Elisabeth is invited to host a knitting lesson as well as distribute the pattern she wrote out for her baby hats!
We are all very excited about our new initiative to benefit the newborns and patients of St. Catherine’s and look forward to a longtime partnership.
